*Position*The Real Estate Americas (REA) business seeks a Regional Controller with.*approximately 8+ years of real estate accounting experience* to assist with the financial management of its real estate investments including client and internal reporting requirements.
The Separate Account Controller will work with an experienced group of professionals while overseeing all aspects of real estate financial analysis, accounting, structuring, internal controls, and service provider oversight for investments within a specific client portfolio. The position includes direct client reporting and relationship responsibilities.*Education*Bachelor's degree with major in accounting - required*Qualifications:*C.P.A. required.
Strong accounting, analytical and problem solving skills. Must be detailed oriented with strong organizational work habits. Solid communication skills.
Ability to work in many roles within the team framework (leader, support, coworker, backup for peers). Computer literacy and working knowledge of Excel and Word.*Scope of Responsibilities:*+ Comprehensive understanding of fund structures, investment structures, advisory agreements, mortgage documents, development agreements, partnership agreements, and purchase and sale agreements+ Build and develop relationships with investors, consultants and portfolio managers, provide direct support and service, responding to requests, running scenarios and sensitivities such as fee, capital deployment, performance+ Produce financial statements and quarterly reports for various separate account clients; annual audit reports+ Calculate and maintain performance data on investments and portfolios+ Calculate and/or coordinate advisory and performance fees+ Coordinate with independent external auditors, tax practitioners, service providers to identify scope of services and fee arrangements+ Direct investment responsibilities including acquisition due diligence, review/analyze monthly property financial and operating information, r eview and approve operating budgets for assets.
